  • T - 18:00-20:15

  • INSTRUCTOR: KIM RONDEAU

Feminist discourses, complexe and diverse as they are, have greatly influenced the practice of art history. Whether by "re-discovering" women artists of the past ignored by masculinist critics, promoting feminist art, or generally questioning and criticizing the traditional methods and premisses of art history, feminist art historians have brought about undeniable changes to the discipline. This course will therefore focus on this impact of feminism on art history and the ways in which it can influence our readings of visual culture. Special attention will also be paid to the works of female artists.
