As Giving Tuesday approaches on December 2, we’re exploring the ways supporters like you can help address the financial needs many Concordia students face — particularly with respect to affording food and basic necessities.

This year, we are featuring the Student Emergency and Food Fund, which addresses urgent need on campus. 

According to the Concordia University Student Food Insecurity Report, issued in 2023, a significant portion of Concordia students face food insecurity while they pursue their studies.

Of the survey respondents, do you know how many Concordia students ran out of food before they could afford to buy more?

We know the need is real, and recurring, which is why we’re promoting the Student Emergency and Food Fund this Giving Tuesday. With your support, we can help vulnerable students stay focused on their studies, and not on where their next meal will come from.
