Introducing... the Deep Investment Fund
Up to $50,000 of funding per year
|
The Deep Investment Fund is a new program offered by SHIFT this year, which will invest up to $50,000, per year and for up to two years in previously funded socially transformative projects that are:
- Looking to expand on previous projects, formalize their expertise, or embed their work in institutions and systems - in line with SHIFT’s Deep Investment Pillars
- Interested in and enthusiastic about working more closely with SHIFT and Concordia in multiple ways, including working with SHIFT staff to co-think about your projects’ future
- Finished or nearly finished with the already-funded project
The Deep Investment Fund will run twice this year, with the first deadline on November 20, 2022.
Register to the information session: Thursday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to noon (online)
To apply, project teams are required to meet with SHIFT staff for a pre-proposal. Applications can be submitted in a variety of formats, with interviews taking place in January 2023.

SHIFT's Ongoing Connections Grant
Apply for $5,000 or $10,000 per year
|
The Ongoing Connections Grant (OCG) is a simple renewal fund, designed to recognize the long-term nature of most social change projects, with up to $10,000 in funding annually to help project teams continue their work. The OCG is right for you if:
- You are looking to continue and maintain the scale of work of your previously funded SHIFT project, or make some changes to improve upon the project moving forward
- You are interested in a shorter and non-competitive application process, focused on assessing eligibility rather than deeply evaluating the project
- You want to remain consistently engaged with SHIFT and Concordia
The Ongoing Connections Grant will run twice this year, with the first deadline on October 30, 2022.
|
NOTE: Teams may only submit one application per funding round and may not submit the same application to more than one SHIFT funding program.
