After you've applied

Once you pay and submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with an attached PDF copy of your application. This email will include an eight-digit student ID number that you will use throughout your studies should you be accepted at Concordia. If you didn’t get the confirmation email (and you can’t find it in your junk mail folder either), call us at 514-848-2424, extension 2668 or email study@concordia.ca. We will send you your student ID number.

When can I expect a decision?

There are a number of factors which influence when you will receive a decision.

  • Receiving your application and required supporting documents by the application deadline
  • Where you last went to school
  • Whether your program has additional requirements such as: audition, portfolio, interview, etc.

Applicants from
Fall admission
Winter admission
Cegep Mid-February to May Mid-October to December
Canadian High Schools February to May October to December
International High School students in the United States February to April September to Mid-November
International High School students outside of the United States February to May September to Mid-November

Remember that we cannot make a decision on your application until we have received all of the required supporting documents. The timelines listed above are based on applications and supporting material received by the deadline.

You can check your “To Do List” and your application status online by logging into MyConcordia.ca and going to My Student Centre.

Once you submit a required document, we will review your file again and remove that item from your “To Do List” in your Student Centre. Please note that it may take up to 15 working days to update your file. Please do not upload a document more than once.

Check your application status online

You can keep tabs on your application status online. Log into MyConcordia.ca and go to My Student Centre.

Letters of acceptance

If you can see through My Student Centre that you have been admitted, congratulations! Your official offer letter will follow. If you’re wondering where your letter is, please don’t worry: due to system changes, we are experiencing some delays. Your offer should arrive by email before too long. We communicate admission decisions to you by email – not over the phone. Please double check your email junk folder if you have not received any emails from Concordia.
