Stress Reset

In February, the Zen Dens/CPS wellness team hosted their Stress Reset fair, with increased participation at events and positive feedback and engagement from students.

In addition to recurring programming, new workshops were also well-received, including counsellor Dr. Jessica Tutino's managing anxiety workshop with over 70 participants, and an emotional literacy workshop developed by the Peer Wellness Ambassadors and supported by the counselling team.

Accessibility outreach and collaboration

  • In February, Anna Barrafato and colleagues from York University and the University of Toronto facilitated a roundtable discussion through CACUSS entitled, “Future of accommodations and our work - Conversations in post-secondary disability support.”
  • Alison Rollins welcomed Dr. Richard Koestner & Dr. Pascale Dubois from the McGill Motivation Lab to host a workshop for the ACSD academic coaches. ACSD coaches were given the opportunity to discuss ways to address motivational challenges that they encounter when working with students.
  • Tudor Crisan and Russ Cooper will attend an outreach event with Marianopolis College where they will connect with prospective Concordia students to address any accessibility-related questions they may have about their transition to university.
