NEXT WEEK: Pathways to Accountability

Pathways to Accountability Poster

Join us for our next event in our Pathways Series, where we here from community members about the approaches they take towards social transformation.

Pathways to Accountability: navigating communities in conflict with care

Conflict is an inevitable part of working in community towards creating the new futures we want. When conflict arises, our responses to it often perpetuate the very cultures of punishment, separation and exclusion at the root of what we want to transform.  Join us to learn alongside three speakers who accompany individuals, groups and communities in moving towards connection, accountability, repair and transformation in response to conflict and harm.

Featuring:

  • Dominic Barter: who has been learning dialogical, systemic, community-based responses to conflict for 30 years, starting in the gang-controlled shantytown favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
  • Gabriela Gomez: a healing practitioner, researcher and facilitator with experience in the community sector and as a somatic counselor
  • Phillipe Koffi: an accredited mediator, certified trainer, and negotiator. He has over ten years' experience in psychosocial intervention, facilitation and coaching.
