Student association (WSSSA)

WSSSA members are active representatives of Concordia University's Women's Studies and Sexuality Studies programs.

WSSSA supports the following

  • interdisciplinary scholarship
  • local activism
  • creative endeavours 

These highlight social injustices pertinent to

  • gender
  • sexuality
  • location
  • class
  • race
  • ability

Its mandate includes

  • maintaining an equality model in its academic environment
  • engaging its constituency in campus life
  • working with local groups (both student and otherwise).

WSSSA publishes a literary journal entitled Subversions, which is fuelled by the minds and talents of its student body. This yearly publication includes critical texts, essays, creative writing, photography, artwork and illustrations.
