Guidelines designed to create a space that is open, inclusive and diverse.
We are proud of our events that are Gold Certified Sustainable, including Orientation. One of the actions we’ve taken to earn this certification is creating a code of conduct to allow for exploration in a space that is open, inclusive and diverse.
As a participant, you agree to engage with others in a postive and constructive way that respects their dignity and autonomy, especially as you interact with those whose viewpoints, interests, cultural backgrounds, or experiences may differ from yours.
Behaviour that fails to respect these principles will not be tolerated and may result in your expulsion from the event. Please note you may face other penalties for the deliberate misuse or abuse of any Orientation event space.
Questions or concerns during the event?
If you have concerns based on your interactions with other participants, please reach out to the organizers by sending an email to orientationinfo@concordia.ca. You can expect your concerns will be taken seriously and addressed quickly, with discretion.
Attending student-led Orientation/Frosh?
The Dean of Students Office collaborates with student leaders to ensure incoming students are safe, and included. Harm-Reduction and Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention training is provided to all student group executives and leaders, and all froshees (students who purchase tickets to any Frosh event put on by ASFA, CASA or ECA).
