Hi everyone, and welcome to Concordia! My name is Catherine, my pronouns are she/her, and I’m in my 5th year studying Psychology. I speak English, French, and some Italian (thanks to the great Concordia language electives!) I love animals, especially my two dogs, and in my free time I like to volunteer, hang out with my friends, re-watch TV shows way too many times, play games, and learn new things! I’m always looking forward to my next adventure, and I can’t wait to get back to travelling!
The one thing I wish I would have known back in my first semester is… that there’s a place for everyone in Concordia’s extra-curricular activities! It took me a while to find out about all the opportunities to join clubs, volunteer, and network. Joining in sooner would have really enriched my experience as a new student!
A tip I have for new students is… through all your successes and challenges as a new Concordia student, make sure to be kind to yourself along the way!
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… being a part of its amazing and supportive community! I really love my program, and the cherry on top of pursuing something I’m passionate about has been the people I’ve connected with along the way.
