Hello triploblastic Concordians, my name is Roksana and I am one of the Welcome Crew Mentors. I am currently in my third year in specialization in Biology. Some fun facts about me is that I used to live in Australia, I enjoy playing the piano, painting (a passion I took on during the pandemic), playing squash and visiting art museums and reading books. If you have any questions throughout your studies at Concordia or you wanted to let me know about our shared interests, feel free reach out!
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… you can add a minor to your degree in topics that you enjoy. If I could go back, I would have definitely added it!
A tip I have for new students is… join the student groups! Concordia has multiple options available for you and you can always start your own association if you have some new ideas. I met most of my friends in student group events. The student groups, similar to the various other resources at Concordia, do offer online services during the pandemic. If you had any questions about the student groups available or the resources available at Concordia never hesitate to reach out.
My favorite part about being a Concordia student is… I love the atmosphere of Concordia! I also love the Loyola Campus, my friends, my team and colleagues. I am a proud Concordian!
