Hi everyone, my name is Josh, and I started at Concordia in Fall of 2018. I was raised in a small town on the west coast of B.C., so coming to Montreal was a big move for me, but I love the city and everything it has to offer (even the winter!). In my free time I usually play video games, play the saxophone, go on hikes or walk around the city searching for new cafe’s, bakeries and local shops. I also love coffee and have several different brew methods at home! Reach out to me if you want to talk about Linguistics, Coffee, Music or need some hiking recommendations in the Montreal area!
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… it’s good to take electives and explore your options, don’t feel obligated to only take courses from your program
A tip I have for new students is… connecting with your professors and TAs is super easy and can really make a big difference in your classes
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… overall the vibe at Concordia is really relaxed and casual; it feels like a place I want to be.
Josh
