I have been studying at Concordia for about two years already. I am a big fan of football and my favourite team is Bayern München. Classic music is my cup of tea. My favourite classic musicians in the 21st century are Lang Lang and Hilary Hahn. More importantly, I am a foodie and love cooking. Trying new cuisine is one of the most amazing things to do. If you are interested in Chinese food, I would try my best to introduce you to many branches of Chinese food.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… to join as many school activities as possible during your leisure time! University life is not only about time spent in libraries – workshops and activities offered at Concordia can help us to meet new people from different cultures and regions. It’s so fun!
A tip I have for new students is… do not hesitate to ask any questions to your professors, peers, or services in the school such as the Student Success Centre! Also, from the viewpoint of a business student, attending lectures is only the beginning to learn about the course. It is crucial to spend decent time studying and doing exercises in order to have a great academic performance.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… that we are surrounded by many helpful school organizations. Those organizations can help students with many things. For example, the Student Success Centre offers things like Services for New Students, Learning Services, Career and Planning Services, and more. There are many services at Concordia that are always there to support us!
