Hello everyone, my name is Amber! I am currently a 4th year student in Computer Engineering. I was born and raised in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (located in the Caribbean). I left the warm tropics to live in Montreal, to further my education (best decision I’ve ever made). During my free time, I love to sleep, catch up on shows, hang out with family and friends, try out different activities and eat! I also enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. I would describe myself as guarded and receptive.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… the many services that the Student Success Centre has to offer, as well as the resources that Concordia has for students.
A tip I have for new students is… to accept the opportunity to try new and positive things, and to set reasonable goals for yourself and try your best to achieve them.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… that there is never a dull moment on campus! There are always workshops or events you can attend. I also love that Concordia provides an underground tunnel, which makes traveling between buildings much easier, especially on cold days!
