My name is Adanna and I am a Welcome Crew Mentor. I am a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Women's Studies. Starting Concordia during the pandemic of 2020 and then moving to Montreal on my own a year after was really an experience. I am grateful for the flexibility that Concordia has offered in my learning process.  In my spare time, I love to read, watch Kdramas, dance to afro beats, and have a keen interest in writing. I am resilient, ambitious, and exuberant. I love and appreciate music and films from all genres!

The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is... everyone is here to help you out. You don't need to go solo in everything when you are under pressure!

A tip I have for new students is time management is really important. Learning how to manage your time makes life a lot easier.

My favorite part of being a Concordia student is how receptive and friendly everyone is. It is really just an open environment for students and the staff are super cool too.
