Where to look for childcare both on- and off-campus.
On-campus child care
Concordia has two daycares on its campuses, one downtown and one at Loyola. Please note that these are not affiliated with the Concordia Student Parents Centre and you must contact them directly for information.
External resources for child care
The following resources may be available to you. Please check the following sites to see what kind of childcare you are eligible for:
Quebec Ministry of Families & Seniors Care
Provides information about the income tax credit for childcare fees and subsidized childcare programs. The site has a search engine to locate childcare within a specific area, and has information about the Quebec Parental Insurance Program.
Offers parents a one-stop service to register their children for daycare spaces and manages a centralized waiting list for specific daycare centres. Free of charge.
Quebec Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses
The refundable tax credit for childcare expenses is one of the tax measures for families. The tax rate is based on your family income.
Advance Payments of the Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses
If you meet the requirements, you may receive advance payments of the refundable tax credit for childcare expenses and not have to wait until you file your income tax return to claim the credit.
