Where to look for childcare both on- and off-campus.

On-campus child care

Concordia has two daycares on its campuses, one downtown and one at Loyola. Please note that these are not affiliated with the Concordia Student Parents Centre and you must contact them directly for information.

Loyola Campus: Centre de la Petite Enfance P’tits Profs

Parents may enroll children 3 months to 5 years of age.

Concordia’s Observation Nursery

Concordia’s Observation Nursery is a place where young children can develop independent skills in a secure and nurturing atmosphere, full of interesting and stimulating materials to explore.

The program is designed for 3-4 year olds, but younger or loder participants maybe eligible. Enrolment is on a first-come basis.

The Observation Nursery is located on the 1st floor, Room GA-1.125 of Concordia's Grey Nuns Annex Building. It includes a nursery room, an observation room and a parent seminar room.

Provides information about the income tax credit for childcare fees and subsidized childcare programs. The site has a search engine to locate childcare within a specific area, and has information about the Quebec Parental Insurance Program.

Offers parents a one-stop service to register their children for daycare spaces and manages a centralized waiting list for specific daycare centres.  Free of charge.

Quebec Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses

The refundable tax credit for childcare expenses is one of the tax measures for families.  The tax rate is based on your family income.

Advance Payments of the Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses

If you meet the requirements, you may receive advance payments of the refundable tax credit for childcare expenses and not have to wait until you file your income tax return to claim the credit.
