GPLL242 - From Dissertation to Manuscript (PhD Students Only)

This workshop is for PhD students ONLY.

This one hour seminar is designed to assist humanities and social science PhD students who are interested in thinking about how to transition their dissertations to book manuscripts for consideration by a university press.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn how to think about your dissertation as a potential book project
2. Gain strategies moving from defended dissertation to draft book manuscript
3. Learn approaches for framing your pitch to a scholarly press.

Leaders Information

This workshop is led by Geoffrey Little.

Geoffrey Little is Editor-in-Chief at Concordia University Press. He has degrees in History and Information Studies from Concordia and the University of Toronto. He also teaches a graduate course at McGill on the history of books and printing.
