Become a Public Scholar
Eligibility
All PhD students who are active in their program are invited to complete the qualifying Strategic Public Communication Training.
After successfully completing the qualifying training, you will be invited to submit your application to be a Public Scholar.
To be eligible to be a Public Scholar, you must:
- Have successfully completed the Strategic Public Communication Training
- Be enrolled in a PhD program, be in good academic standing while holding the award and be within your program's completion time limit
- You must have successfully completed your comprehensive examinations by the application deadline
- Be available to attend required program events and workshops during the award period (May-April), the majority of which are held in Montreal
- Commit to fulfill the deliverables of the program
Concordia reserves right to revoke the title of the award if a scholar uses its platforms for promoting content or beliefs that are beyond Concordia's principles or values
