Educational Institutions’ visual accountability and legitimation processes by academics in Canada and Mexico will be examined through a combination of digital and visual analysis, interviews, and educational policy document analysis. The post-doctoral fellow will assist in team coordination; data collection and analysis; presentations and publications. Digital & visual analysis work will be conducted to create a comprehensive image data base on visual accountability practices both formal and informal. In addition, a one-day summit will be organized to workshop results. All work will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Publications will be submitted to both English and Spanish journals.
Academic qualifications required
PhD in Education, Educational Policy, or Fields that emphasize Visual Literacy (i.e. Architecture, Visual Sociology) or related fields with experience in policy analysis and visual analysis.
Applicants must not currently hold a postdoctoral appointment at Concordia
Priority will be given to postdoctoral fellows who have obtained their PhD from another university although in exceptional cases Concordia graduates may be considered
