Office of Indigenous Directions
The mandate of the Office of Indigenous Directions is to work with the Indigenous Directions Leadership Council in leading and implementing Concordia University’s Indigenous Directions Action Plan. The Indigenous Directions Action Plan aims to provide all Concordians with concrete steps to decolonize and indigenize the university. The goal is to create culturally based and responsive learning environments for Indigenous students inclusive of all Concordia students; and respectful and meaningful working environments for Indigenous staff and faculty, while cultivating and maintaining trusting relationships with Indigenous communities.
Otsenhákta Student Centre
The Otsenhákta Student Centre is an on-campus resource for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students. The centre is a warm place where Indigenous students can find community, support, and assistance. We help students succeed and achieve their highest academic potential by working with them to make the most of the many resources available at the university.
Black Perspectives Office
The Black Perspectives Office resources, supports, connects, and advocates for Black communities, perspectives, initiatives, and scholarship at Concordia University. We offer funding, mentorship, advocacy support and resources to Black students; We support, connect, and promote the voices of our Black staff and faculty; We host workshops, events and activities that champion Black perspectives and engage the larger Concordia community.
Sexual Assault Resource Centre
The Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) provides confidential and non-judgmental support and services to Concordia University students, staff and faculty who have been affected by sexual violence. SARC offers individual counseling, guidance and support through internal and external complaint and reporting processes, accompaniment to on and off campus resources, referrals, and a peer support drop-in space. SARC designs and delivers training on sexual violence prevention and response and works to create a campus culture of safety and respect.
Office of Rights and Responsibilities
The Office of Rights and Responsibilities offers impartial, confidential, and independent services to those with concerns about the behaviour of any member of the Concordia community. The Office also administers the Code, and guides members through a range of resolution options in response to behavioural complaints.
The Ombuds Office assists in the informal resolution of concerns and complaints related to the application of university policies, rules, and procedures. Also, the Office is responsible for promoting fairness in the university
