Areas of expertise
Dr. Doray-Demers holds a Ph.D in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. His work is on the use of statistics in social sciences. His research interests are varried and cover the majority of disciplines in social sciences. He has worked in the past on part-time employees classification, access to health services for sexual minorities with an immigrant background, fiscal rules, carbon tax, and electoral systems.
He holds an MSc in Economics from the Université de Montréal on military labor policies. Between 2008-2011 he worked as a research fellow at the Canada Research Chair in Electoral Studies (CRCES).
During his fellowship at the Chair, Dr. Doray-Demers is studying how to use big data to detect problematic gambling behaviors.
