Quebec Perspective Bursary
Quebec residents enrolled in specific post-secondary programs can apply for the Quebec Perspective bursary. This funding program is intended to foster employment growth in a number of critical professions.
You may apply for funding for the fall 2024 term now. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2024.
Students in the relevant programs are eligible for $2,500 per successful full-time term of study for a maximum of $15,000 for a three-year program, and $20,000 for a four-year program.
PhD students enrolled in research and clinical training are eligible for 15 terms or a maximum of $37,500 in funds.
Eligible students must re-apply at the end of each successfully completed term. Bursaries will be paid after the successful completion of the term once confirmed by the University with the Ministry.
Please note that only credits going toward degree requirements are considered when assessing eligibility.
Application & eligibility details
To be eligible for this bursary program, you must:
- be considered a Quebec resident
- be studying in an eligible college or university program
- have successfully completed your study term on a full-time or deemed-full-time basis, according to the criteria that apply to your situation
- respect the maximum number of eligible study terms based on your level of education:
- The maximum number of eligible sessions at the university level varies from 6 to 8 for the undergraduate level. For the Master's study program, the maximum number of sessions is 5 and for the Doctoral study program, the maximum number is 15.
Please note that there are exceptional circumstances wherein a student could be eligible despite not completing the full required number of credits in a term.
Ineligibility and exclusions
- Students receiving the Quebec Excellence Scholarships for Students in Education Programs are not eligible to apply for Quebec Perspective Bursary funding.
- Students in Concordia’s education programs are no longer eligible for the Intern Perseverance and Success Scholarship, because they are now supported by the Quebec Perspective Bursary.
- Co-op programs are eligible for funding by this program, however, terms during which students are participating in paid internships are NOT eligible.
- Credits earned from courses done in addition to your program are NOT eligible. This includes courses that are part of the Extended Credit Programs (ECP)/Mature Entry Programs (MEP), electives that are not approved by your program/faculty, and electives done in excess of your program.

Notes regarding Quebec residency status
In certain cases, students considered Quebec residents by Concordia’s definition may not be considered to have Quebec residency status by Quebec’s Student Financial Assistance (Aide financière aux études). Please refer to the government's guidelines for determining your residency status when applying for this bursary.
Students who may be receiving government student aid from a different province/territory/country may apply for this scholarship; receiving funding from outside Quebec does not necessarily jeopardize your eligibility.
Terms during which Co-op students are participating in paid internships are not eligible for funding. Likewise, courses that count as prerequisites and not part of a degree program path are not eligible for funding.

To complete your application, you will need the following information:
- Your Québec permanent code (comprised of 4 letters and 8 digits)
- Your social insurance number
- The name of your program of study and your educational institution
- Your banking information
