Please join us for a reading and discussion with Claudia Rankine. She is the author of five collections of poetry including Citizen: An American Lyric and Don’t Let Me Be Lonely; two plays including Provenance of Beauty: A South Bronx Travelogue; and is the editor of several anthologies including The Racial Imaginary: Writers on Race in the Life of the Mind. In 2016, she was the recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship.

Writers Read is one of a long tradition of diverse literary reading series at Concordia University and has recently hosted such authors as Trish Salah, Mary Ruefle, Ben Lerner, Dionne Brand and Roxane Gay. Writers Read is supported by the Faculty of Arts & Science at Concordia University and the English Department.
