Dr. Penny has had over 30 years experience in elementary school teaching and now participates in preparing the next generation of teachers for Quebec English schools. His principle teaching interests are in the areas of Language Arts and Classroom Supervision. As well, in his capacity as Program Director of Child Studies, he is involved in the preparation of students who will work as educators in areas other than the classroom. His principle research interests focus on teacher collegiality, the way teachers share information about their practice so as to improve it and gender issues in education, specifically the education of boys and the impact of male teachers in education.
