Dr. Émond has been a full time faculty member at Concordia since July 2005, he tenured in 2010. Prior to the commencement of his teaching at Concordia University, he had a 20 year career in government, community research, private organizations and university teaching in communications and sexology. His specific experience focuses on social and organizational issues, HIV and AIDS issues, gay community (homophobia, violence, etc.), research methods, and on organizational dynamics in human systems. He has volunteered for many years in synchronized swimming; homophobia, gay and lesbian community and; HIV prevention.
