Dear Student Services Staff,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season and thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to our students.
I encourage you to use the upcoming break as a time to decompress, connect with loved ones and take a moment for yourself.
This term saw us pivot from online service delivery to a hybrid model. Despite this complex challenge, the student services sector rose to the occasion. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our students were in good hands as we continued to provide exceptional programming, events, and support services thanks to your commitment and flexibility.
The resurgence of cases due to the Omicron variant has already changed our plans for the upcoming winter term. Once again, we are faced with uncertainty and the anxiety this brings. We will have to no doubt adapt the way we work and operate as a sector.
This will not be easy, but I am fully confident in our collective ability to continue to fulfill our mission. Please know that I will continue to work with the student services leadership team to support you as best we can in 2022.
