Brandon A. Dalmer
MFA Student, Painting and Drawing
Brandon A. Dalmer works with painting, installation and video. His practice is based within the scientific method, exploring the way images are made, replication and the relationship humans have with expanding technologies. Through research and process-based work, his work aims to contextualize humanity's future through machine learning, generative processes and robotic assistance. This work is his phylactery.
Brandon A. Dalmer (b.1984) has participated in a number of residencies and exhibitions across Canada and internationally. His recent exhibitions include: Art Mûr (2020), This Month Only (2018), Ed Video (2018), and Latitude 53 (2017). Dalmer has been involved in a number of artist-run organizations and curatorial projects aimed at the incubation of emerging artists; most recently the Roundtable Residency (Toronto) and Wreck City (Calgary). He is also part of the analog/digital installation duo VIDEOMANCY.
