Kevin Jung-Hoo Park
MFA Student, Film Production
Having spent my childhood in Canada and adolescence in Korea, I have experienced multiple identity crises in my life; it has become the main subject matter of my work. I'm interested in how the social and/or existential identity of an individual is constructed in relation to the act of recollection. I've explored methods of mise-en-abime, multi-screen, and re-photography to create new relationships between images as a way to address how we recreate the perceptional spatio-temporality surrounding us as we establish our identity.
Kevin Jung-Hoo Park is a Korean-Canadian artist who concentrates on filmmaking and time-based multi-media practices. He is interested in the relationship between identity and memory. Through his work, he attempts to seek a spiritual home.
