Digital Image and Slide Collection

Slide Collection

Established in the 1970s, The Faculty of Fine Arts Slide Collection is one of the largest in Canada comprised of over 350,000 catalogued 35mm slides. This resource reflects the history of the Faculty's teaching practices and research interests. The collection's vast scope includes subjects such as, artifacts, paintings, photographs, ceramics, fibre works, drawing, sculpture, architecture, performance and contemporary art.

Digital Image Repository

Our databank of images currently holds over 18,000 high resolution digital images that can be downloaded and used for educational and research purposes. The repository is accessible online, and users can log in with their MyConcordia netname and password.

The VCR also collaborates with the University of Toronto and other Canadian universities by uploading its digital collection to the Federated Academic Digital Imaging System (FADIS) database. In order to access FADIS, an account needs to be created by the Supervisor of the VCR.
