The Indigenous communities on the street are so marginalized from all the support organizations. If you’re not seeing Indigenous people coming into your organization, you need to be asking ‘why not?’

The Institute for Urban Futures invites IUF affiliates to Bowl for a Better Future, a fundraiser for the Iskweu Project. If you are unable to attend but wish to contribute, the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal has a convenient online donation form

Iskweu (Ishkway) project is aimed at reducing and ultimately eradicating the number of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (trans, two-spirit) of Quebec and to offer support that ensures adequate responses from institutions when someone goes missing. Iskweu Project is an initiative by the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal.
