Intergenerational Knowledge Creation with Saint-Michel Communities

The IUF is undertaking research to develop a community engaged cultural exchange with the residents of the Montreal neighbourhood of St Michel, one of the most socially and economically marginalized neighbourhoods in the city. In collaboration with La TOHU, Montreal’s circus arts centre, and Concordia’s Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling, the Institute for Urban Futures team will be devising a series of community outreach activities with youth and elders around digital literacy and an oral history research creation project, with the purpose of identifying experiences of accessibility, (im)migration, spatial justice, and the role that La TOHU plays in cultural exchange with the communities of St. Michel.
