Wood shop
In addition to standard kinds of woodworking, such as traditional joinery and milling, the Core Technical Centre's (CTC) wood shop supports wood turning of round objects, sculptural carving, and wood bending. The shop also has a variety of sculpting and carving tools that can be used to shape anything from miniatures to full-scale figures.
We're ready to assist
The Core Technical Centre’s staff will be available to assist all Fine Arts students, faculty and researchers in at-home art production.
During a campus closure, our technical staff will continue to be available for consultations and will do their best to help support at-home art production.
Please visit our Moodle page to find out more information about any processes and the resources within the Core Technical Centre.
Public accessibility
Please note that the Core Technical Centre is not open to the public. Only Fine Arts students, faculty and researchers may use the wood shop facilities.
As such and until further notice, the wood shop is accessible by appointment only. Appointments may be booked directly with the technical staff during a consultation, by phone or email, but never in person.
