Program admission requirements


DEADLINE: March 1, 2021 (for all applicants: Canadian and International).

Portfolio submissions to Slideroom will be accepted as of mid-January, 2021. 

The application process for new students requires two steps:

STEP 1: Online University Admissions Application (includes official transcripts, application fee, etc.) - APPLY ONLINE

STEP 2: Online Portfolio submission (includes moving images, Letter of Intent, letters of recommendation (optional), unofficial transcripts, etc.). UPLOAD YOUR PORTFOLIO as of mid-January, 2020.  


  • New applicants must APPLY ONLINE to the University before submitting a portfolio.
    Deadline: March 1, 2021
  • Current Concordia students must omit STEP 1 and APPLY TO TRANSFER to a Fine Arts Program. Deadline: March 1, 2021
  • Portfolio submission is done entirely online through Slideroom, and begins mid-January, 2020
  • Portfolio Submission Deadline: March 1, 2021 (for all applicants: Canadian and International) 
  • Hard copy submissions delivered in-person or by mail or attached to your Concordia application will NOT be accepted
  • Admission is to the Major. Students may apply to transfer to the Specialization after completing FMPR 332 in their second year of study
  • Check program availability for the fall. Late applications will continue to be accepted for certain programs for an undetermined period of time.
