Eli is the mentor for you, if you are interested in: curatorial work, exhibition making and art publishing.

Eli is a Canadian curator and writer based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal.

Through exhibition-making, text and advocacy for artists, his efforts commit to the various modes in which contemporary artistic practices both recall and produce the memory of site, place, and their social histories.

In 2015 he co-founded VIE D’ANGE with Daphné Boxer. Located in a 3,400 sqft auto-body garage slated for demolition in the Marconi-Alexandra neighborhood, their exhibitions foregrounded sequential new site-specific projects by local and international artists.

Kerr has completed curatorial residencies at International Studio and Curatorial Program (New York, 2017) and Rupert (Vilnius, Lithuania, 2018). He is the recipient of the 2019 Hnatyshyn Foundation-Fogo Island Arts Residency Award for Canadian curators under 30.

In 2020 Kerr founded Parc Offsite, a curatorial office and exhibition space on Avenue Du Parc that focuses on small-scale exhibitions and the development of future contemporary art initiatives in Montreal. He holds a BFA from Concordia University (2015) and Masters in Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. His thesis work focused on the legacies and implications of ‘Guerrilla Television’ and early video art at the confluence of journalism, entertainment and social justice activism.
