Warning: Phishing scam targeting university members

A number of members of the university community have received an email with the title “Concordia University Part-time/Job Opportunity.” This appears to be an attempt to gain unauthorized access to your personal information. Those responsible may be seeking to defraud you.

Here’s a sample of the email:

If you have received this email, delete it immediately and do not click on the link or reply to it.

If you have clicked on the link in the email and provided any personal information, call the IT Service Desk as soon as possible at 514-848-2424, ext. 7613, or send an email to help@concordia.ca. You should also cease to engage with the sender.

If you provided your credentials, follow the steps to change your password.

Please note: Concordia University will not ask for your personal information by phone, email, or URL unless it is in response to a support request you have initiated. Concordia University will never ask for your password, nor should businesses, banks, and other institutions.
