|

The final exam period is coming up. It’s time to review some key info to ensure your exams go smoothly, whether in person or online.

Before exams start

Check your schedule

Check your personalized final exam schedule in the Student Hub.  Go to My CU Account > Academic > View exam schedule.

Review the rules

  • Learn what you may or may not bring to an exam on campus and other exam regulations.
  • Consult the academic code of conduct to understand what constitutes misconduct, plagiarism and the consequences.

Download RAVE Guardian

The app keeps you informed of any Moodle outages or other emergencies.

Get familiar with online formats

Each online exam format has slightly different rules and instructions. Read over answers to frequently asked questions about these platforms:

  • (Concordia Online Exams) or COLE Non-proctored
  • COLE Auto-proctored
  • COLE Zoom-proctored
  • COLE mixed mode
  • Moodle

Complete a COLE practice exam

If your exam is on COLE, get familiar with the interface now and identify any system compatibility issues you might face by completing a practice exam at cole.concordia.ca.  Questions? Email cole@concordia.ca.

On exam day: online platforms

Read instructions carefully

If you can, log in early to settle in and go over the instructions, since they can differ from one exam to another.

Join early for exams on COLE with Zoom proctoring

Please join the Zoom meeting 45 minutes in advance to complete ID verification. You will be able to continue to study while you wait for your exam to start.

In case of power or internet interruption

Contact the COLE helpline and your professor right away to let them know. Then, email your professor an explanation of what happened to request an in-progress (IP) notation for the course, until you are able to complete the exam at a later date.
