“Over 30-plus years, I drew 45 or 50 cartoons relating to Richler in one situation or another. This is an astonishing number of caricatures for a literary figure. I can’t recall any cabinet minister that I had ever cartooned to that extent. But then, none of them were as interesting. I became Richler’s official cartoonographer, if you will.”
