Over the coming months, the PERFORM Centre will become part of Concordia’s newly created School of Health. Its research, educational and community-based activities will henceforth be governed by the School.

As a result, the role of scientific director of PERFORM, occupied by Habib Benali, ended on December 31, 2022.  A Dean of the School of Health will be announced in 2023 and will oversee the integration of the PERFORM Centre and its mandate as an integral platform of the School going forward.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to Habib for his service to PERFORM and the university. It is largely due to his direction of PERFORM, along with the support of current PERFORM staff, that we were able to launch the School of Health in the first place.

Lyes Kadem, Associate Vice-President Research, Strategic Institutional Initiatives, will be stepping in to offer his expertise to the team and serve as a liaison back to both the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies, and the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic.
