The Economist has placed Concordia’s John Molson Executive MBA program second in Canada and 67th in the world in its most recent Which MBA? Executive MBA Ranking. It is also the only EMBA program in Quebec to be ranked by The Economist and one of only two Canada-wide.

The QS Global Executive MBA Rankings 2020 have also confirmed the strength of the program by placing it 76th internationally, moving up one spot from last year.

To determine its ranking, The Economist collected data from questionnaires sent to business schools as well as current students and alumni from its last three graduating classes. The publication reviewed the two categories of Personal Development and Educational Experience, and Career Development.

The QS ranking surveyed the areas of Career Outcomes, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile and Thought Leadership. Overall, Concordia’s EMBA executive profile was the program’s strongest performance, placing 32nd globally. A total of 161 EMBA programs from 35 countries were surveyed, and a final 141 were ranked.

“This international recognition is a testament to our commitment to offering a continuously relevant curriculum and to adopting innovative teaching methods,” notes Anne-Marie Croteau, dean of the John Molson School of Business.

The 46-credit core program covers contemporary business concepts and is divided into four thematic terms that tie together the concepts presented in individual courses. This approach integrates learning in ways that reflect of today’s workplace realities and sets the stage for more sophisticated analysis.

Concordia’s was the first EMBA program to be established in Quebec. The curriculum is rooted in real-world experience, with a focus on business fundamentals, innovation, global integration and leading change for the future.

“Thank you to our dedicated faculty and staff who continue to ensure our EMBA program is internationally recognized,” Croteau says. “And thank you to the students who have trusted us with their educational and career futures.”

The program was also recently ranked 32nd internationally and 3rd in Canada by CEO Magazine
