1. New pension video

Human Resources has developed a new three-minute video on the Pension Plan for Employees of Concordia University. Available both on Cspace and Concordia.ca, it’s an easy-access tool that clearly outlines the revised pension plan.

The video explains how Concordia’s “defined benefits” plan measures up to other retirement savings models where payments aren’t guaranteed.

The video also details how individual and university contributions are calculated and how an individual’s pension grows when they participate in the plan.

2. Pension@ccess returns

The Pension@access tool is now back online after being updated for the revised plan. You can log in for personalized information on the plan, retirement projections, annual statements and other useful links.

3. Retirement workshops

The Employee Assistance Program is offering two lunchtime workshops to help those trying to figure out their finances before they make retirement decisions.

Successful Transition to Retirement: Financial Planning is being held in the John Molson Building (MB) on Tuesday, April 17.

What a Notary Can Do for You: Legal Advice will take place at noon on Tuesday, May 8, in the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre. You can contact the EAP coordinator to sign up.

You may find quick answers to your retirement planning questions by consulting Cspace. You can also
email Concordia Pensions or call extension 3666.
