Concordia president hosts two back-to-school events

There is always a heightened buzz of activity at the university when the new academic year begins — and we are not talking about the Concordia Stingers mascot.

As the university welcomes some 8,000 new students to Concordia, president Alan Shepard takes the time to host two informal back-to-school events — part of his ongoing efforts to meet with students, faculty and staff members at the beginning of the fall term.

This year, Concordians can grab a cup of java or tea at the Sir George Williams Campus event, or head to Loyola for a light lunch (who knows, you might even see Buzz!).

Coffee break — don't forget to bring your own mug!
When: Monday, September 8 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Atrium, Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV Building), 1515 Ste-Catherine St. W.

: Wednesday, September 10 from noon to 2 p.m.

The Grove and Atrium of the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex (SP Building), 7141 Sherbrooke St. W.
