As it does every year, on August 20 the 2014 Memorial Golf Tournament raised about $8,000 for student bursaries. Two hundred Concordia staff, faculty and friends gathered at the Hemmingford Golf Club to play the links and pay tribute to four professors involved in the tragic event of 1992.

This year marked a special dedication to a fallen colleague: Jolly Sandhu, BA 06, an employee of the Concordia Bookstore, who died in an accident on April 3, 2014.

The graduate bursary, worth $1,000, was dedicated at a ceremony on August 19. Jolly’s widower, Chirad Desai, MASc 11, and her parents and in-laws were present. Read more about the dedication.

Next year’s Memorial Golf Tournament will be held in June instead of August. Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 18, 2015.
