June 24 and July 1: what’s open and closed at Concordia

University marks Quebec national holiday and Canada Day

Concordia will operate on a holiday schedule on Tuesday, June 24 (Quebec national holiday) and Tuesday, July 1 (Canada Day).

No classes or instructional activities will occur. Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate university-issued identification will be able to access offices, studios and laboratories; undergraduate students will require a letter from their respective departments.

Closures

  • Shuttle buses will not be operational
  • Le Gym (Sir George Williams Campus)
  • Le Centre (Loyola Campus)


Libraries

  • The R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier libraries will be closed on June 24.
  • Both libraries will be open for study only on
    July 1. Please note that when the Webster Library is open on holidays, it may only be accessed via the Mackay Street entrance.

Food services

  • For those with Concordia meal plans, the Buzz and Zest will remain open.
  • Chartwells food service units will be closed.


Parking

  • Parking in the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building will remain open.
  • Parking in the Faubourg (FT) Tower will be available from 6 a.m. to midnight.
  • Parking on the Loyola Campus will be available from 6 a.m. to midnight.


Tunnel access

  • The tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will remain open on June 24.
  • The tunnels will be closed from 11 p.m. on June 30 to 6:30 a.m. on July 2.
