On May 7, Concordia introduced Moodle 2.6, the latest version of its Learning Management System (LMS).

A LMS provides students with a way to create content, submit assignments, communicate with professors and classmates, as well as receive feedback and grades.

The upgrade will allow Moodle to run more efficiently in a wider range of software environments.

New Moodle features

Moodle 2.6 features useful new functions for Concordia students.

  1. Getting feedback on your work will get a whole lot better. Your professors will be able to review and make comments by directly annotating PDF files in a browser window.
  2. Editing tools have been grouped together in a simple drop-down menu for easy access across desktop and mobile devices.
  3. The text editor has new icons, and is expandable. There is also an improved folder and subfolder display.
  4. You’ll be able to submit an assignment as a group.
