Jolly Sandhu

On behalf of the Concordia community, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Jolly Sandhu, a university employee who died on April 3 following an accident.

Our hearts go out to Jolly’s family and husband, Chirag Desai, who is a PhD student and research assistant within our Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

Jolly was a graduate of Concordia and worked in the Concordia Bookstore. She was a young and vibrant woman who was well respected among her peers, and will be deeply missed. In honour of her memory, we will be lowering the flags to half-mast tomorrow.

We have reached out to her co-workers as well as to members of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science to offer support at this very difficult time.

I encourage other staff and faculty members who feel they need support to contact our Employee Assistance Program. If you are a student who needs support, please contact our counselling and development services or reach out to the Multi-faith Chaplaincy.
