Passing of Fern Delamere, associate professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences

The Concordia community is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Fern Delamere, associate professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences. Fern died peacefully on Thursday, December 12, surrounded by her family and closest friends.

A celebration of Fern’s life will be held Friday, December 20, at 2 p.m. in the Loyola Chapel, Room FC-110, Loyola Campus (7141 Sherbrooke St. W.). That day, Concordia’s flags will be flown at half-mast on both campuses in respect of Fern’s passing.

There will also be a service held on Sunday, December 22, at 2 p.m. at Barhead United Church in Barhead, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fern Delamere Memorial Fund, a scholarship set up in her name. Envelopes will be available at the celebration and at the Department of Applied Human Sciences’ main office, Vanier Extension (VE), Room VE-223, Loyola Campus. See the event listing.
