It’s hard to believe that the semester is already over! I hope you’ve had a great fall term.

Getting started here at Concordia, I’ve met many students from across the university, and it’s been fun and motivating to see your creativity, energy and dedication. I’ve been impressed by your achievements.

As you know, the next few months will be important for higher education in Quebec as we adjust to the Government of Quebec’s decision to reduce current operating grants to universities. It’s important to talk together about the way forward, and there will be a series of conversations in early January. I am also hopeful the mid-February summit on higher education will produce viable solutions.

All the very best for the holidays and for the new year.

Alan Shepard
President
