At its meeting of November 17, 2011, the Board of Governors established an Evaluation Committee for the University Librarian. Gerald Beasley, the current University Librarian, has indicated he will seek a second term when his first term ends June 30, 2013.

This committee has been established in accordance with the provisions set out in the Evaluation Procedure for Senior Academic Administrators and for the President and Vice -Chancellor prior to the expiry of their first mandate (Policy BD-8).

The committee’s composition requires two faculty members who are nominated by election by the faculty members of Senate. The deadline for nominations is February 6, 2012.

All full- and part-time (an individual who holds a part-time teaching contract at the time of making a nomination or being nominated) faculty members are eligible to make nominations, or to be nominated.

Nominations must be signed by five members of the nominee’s constituency and be signed by the nominee, indicating his/her acceptance of the nomination and willingness to serve if elected. The nomination must also be accompanied by an abbreviated curriculum vitae, which includes biographical information on the nominee and experience in university affairs.

Nominations must be received by the Secretary of Senate by email (danielle.tessier@concordia.ca), or by internal mail (Room GM 300-73, SGW Campus), no later than February 6, 2012.

Nominations will be presented and voted on at the Senate meeting of February 17, 2012.
