Concordia University departments can create a job opportunity for a current student and have half the student’s wages subsidized through the Work-Study program.

The Financial Aid and Awards Office (FAAO) will be accepting applications from potential employers for Work-Study projects for the 2011–12 academic year as of March 8.

The Work-Study program is designed to assist full-time Concordia students in financial need pursue their academic goals by providing part-time employment on campus.

The FAAO will subsidize 50% of the labour cost (salary and benefits) of all approved Work-Study projects. Projects ranging between $9.65 and $11.50 per hour will be considered. The maximum allowed for each project is 200 hours per term.

Concordia departments interested in the program must create an account and complete the application on the Work-Study website: faao.concordia.ca/wsapp. Each project supervisor can submit up to three projects per academic year.

Projects are funded on a first-come, first-served basis. The submission of projects does not guarantee funding.
