A team from Concordia’s John Molson School of Business has won the 2011 Jeux du commerce TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, held January 7 to 10 at the University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management.

For the last 23 years, the interuniversity event has brought together business students from eastern Canada to compete at an academic, sport and social level with the goals of building relationships, developing initiative and encouraging competition. Concordia last took the title in 2007.

The largest event of its kind in Canada, this year brought together nearly 1,200 students and volunteers from 13 francophone and anglophone eastern Canadian universities.

"Congratulations to the students of the John Molson School of Business and bravo to all the delegations for their outstanding achievements in a multitude of cutting-edge sectors while respecting the strict standards of ethical management," said Henry Blumenthal, Vice-President and Chief Underwriter, TD Insurance and honorary chair of the event.

Concordia hosted the Jeux du commerce in 2010, winning third place.
