New buying method for hardware and software

Concordia Financial Services streamlines ordering process

After a major review of the acquisition of computer goods, Concordia Financial Services has established a new process to buy computer software and hardware. Formal agreements have been signed with selected vendors: Quotes from other vendors will not be considered.

To purchase computer hardware, users must be authorized for web requisitioning through the MyConcordia Portal. Users need to first obtain a quote from the Concordia Computer Store via its website. The quote then gets attached to a web requisition, available in the Millennium menu in the Portal, which then follows the established approval process flow for web requisitions.

Concordia’s software licenses are now centralized through site license agreements for the commonly used software. New computers will be equipped with the latest software available, and information on obtaining new software is available through IT support staff.

For web requisitioning authorization, please contact Liliane Law, llaw@alcor.concordia.ca. For questions regarding the computer standards specifications, quotes and ordering process, please contact Steven Zulkarnian at 3625 or stevenz@alcor.concordia.ca.
